Stone Facade Pech Luna

This is an example of works which we particularly like doing and have done a reasonable number of in our area. It entails removing the old render and re-jointing the stonework; in doing so bringing out the beauty of natural stone whilst using materials sympathetic to the structure both in terms of look and the use of natural, breathable and structurally compatible materials.

This project offered no great difficulty, the wall had no lumps of cement based mortar/concrete spoiling both its look and its structural integrity so it was straightforward but immensely rewarding none the less.

One other aspect was the replacement of a timber lintel over an opening to the side of the property. The client wished to keep a wooden lintel in place for aesthetic reasons but have the opening supported properly. We did this by removing the old lintel, propping the whole structure, and site pouring a reinforced concrete lintel In addition we replaced two shutters, these were non standard size so we made them ourselves.
