Terrace Pech Luna

For this terrace the client wanted to surround a pool, there was an existing terrace that had been badly constructed and was in a state of disrepair. The first job here was to remove the old terrace. We then built a retaining wall to bound the area to be terraced, the ground sloped considerably so the wall had to go from nothing to 80cm from one end of the terrace to the other. In this instance we, due to the height of the wall, dug out a foundation and then laid a traditional concrete foundation which we then built upon.

After the wall was completed we infilled with gravel, topped with reinforced concrete and finally the slabs. The walls, where they were above the ground were then rendered in lime mortar creating a colour that matched the terrace tiles
